Parachurch Facility Request Policy

As of December 2005

The Elders determined that all requests to use our church facility by parachurch ministries should first be approved by them and then cleared by the Deacons as to scheduling and costs (if any) for use.

The steps for the Elder approval are as follows:

  1. Those parachurch ministries applying to use our facility need to respond to the following three criteria on a separate piece of paper:
    1. This ministry encourages those participating in it to actively be part of and financially support the local organized church.
    2. This ministry subscribes to the fundamental doctrines of bible-believing churches as stated in the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) Statement of Faith (attached).
    3. This ministry requires its executive leadership to be active members of local bible-believing churches (those churches which subscribe to the NAE Statement of Faith (attached).
  2. Along with the answers to the foregoing questions, the ministry must submit in hardcopy form any other supporting information from its website or otherwise which further explains the purpose and scope of the ministry.
  3. The ministry should indicate their desire for: dates of usage and which room(s) it desires to use
  4. The elders will review the information in numbers 1 and 2 in light of our own church’s vision and ministry and then either approve or disapprove the request for facility usage.
  5. If approved, the request for facility usage will then be given to the Deacons along with the ministry’s response to number 3. If disapproved the ministry will be notified.
  6. The Deacons will then contact the ministry to finalize arrangements (including any possible charges) for use of our facility.
